This looks like a wonderful place to shoot. Unfortunately, your technical aspects take away from the beauty of this place. But a little re-editing could fix that. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

The first thing I noticed were the tones. I love monochromatic photos, but this specific photo doesn't benefit from that. This photo doesn't have a subject, other than the path itself, so my eyes are going all over the place. Because of this, and the tones, sometimes I can't tell what I'm looking at. A colored version of this would help a lot since it would help my eyes differentiate between what's what. I can also see that you have some wonderful lighting and I'd love to see what this photo would look like in color with warm tones.
And, a tip about sepia photos: a lot of the times, a saturation like the one you have is too saturated and can look tacky. If you want to have a good sepia photo, try desaturating the browns a bit. It looks a lot better. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Other than that, it's a good photo. Good contrast, composition, and angle.e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

First of all I'd like to thank you for you critique of my work. God know I don't get much of that. I'm thinking the image does have a subject and that is shadows. Shadows that do take your eye on a kind of crazy dance through out the image and I see what you are saying. I thought the same thing but as I looked a little harder I noticed the whites of the image leaded my eye through the image and I fell for it. I'm not sure I may be fulling my self. As for my technical aspects I can agree on with you. I don't know Adobe PS. I only use the software I got with my camera. I'll try a version of the image with less saturation to see what difference it makes. I'm all so thinking of doing a color image of this also I don't like to submit them to close to each other. Again I want to thank you so much for taken time to let me know what you think. I cherish this more then anything.

It has been a very long time since I indulged my artistic side, so please bear with me
I am honored to have been asked for a critique of this image.
I really enjoy the interplay of light and dark in this image. The sepia tint lends it a warmth which might otherwise have left it feeling a little cold and perhaps clinical. Having said that, however, I find myself wondering what this image would look like if rendered in grey-scale?
Overall I would give it a minimum score of 8.5. For me an image loses a point if unframed, but that is just me.

I want to thank you so much for your words about my work. I very seldom get things said about what I do; so I cherish ever word and again thank you and I'm so honored in hearing what you think.

Every artist deserves to be told when they have done well and where they have room for improvement (so long as the criticism is constructive that is)
