Biology

Kirins are hexapodal, horned, land carnivores. They are capable of speeds of 45 miles per hour. Its musculature is very pronounced and impressive, giving power for running and powerful leaps. The legs are equipped with hoof-like claws that help grip the ground when running. The primary weapon for killing is the blade-like horn on its head. Kirins ram their prey, after knocking it on its side, cutting through skin like a knife. This disembowels the prey, causing massive blood loss. To prevent injuryto itself, Kirins have shock absorbers in their neck and thick armor. The armor is iridescent and in patches. The spaces between the armor allow flexibility. Kirins have excellent eyesight, hearing, and sense of smell. The jaw is distensible, allowing it to sheer off larger portions of meat. The teeth are towards the back of the jaw, while the front portion is sharp bone. The front of the jaw creates a scissor-like action when biting.

Behavior

Kirins are solitary hunters, only seeking others during mating season. When hunting they find large rocks to stand on to get a better view. They chase their prey to the point of exhaustion. Kirins will then knock the prey on its side and disembowel it with the horn blade. Kirins main prey is manibeasts
