Description
Tried a different style with this one, more of the cartoonish look then anything real life.Happy with how it came out for the most part still haven't gotten the hang of these colors.

I think it looks really cool when artists give her whip the illusion of being a tail. Nice job on the background too.

Any digital work on the bricks or all hand-drawn? They look so perfect for the piece, and that's a detail that I often struggle with in my own background art.

All hand drawn not to hard just block them out with a ruler then be a little chaotic as bricks aren't perfectly straight and square. Don't forget mortar in between holds the bricks together. Good Luck ^_-

Many thanks for the advice. I usually just get lazy and halfway draw some brick texture at certain strategic positions to help fill in some space.

There are situations where that kind of shortcuts work, depending on your style and what you are trying to do. Mostly if the bricks are not an important part of the picture or very close to the camera then that works.

I usually do a few sketches to find a pose I like and this one a one shot deal. ^.^
