Why, it's number 22 in my countdown of my top 25 MST3K episodes, of course! It's the only movie to star a monster made up almost entirely of carpet samples - 606 "The Creeping Terror"...Synopsis, from the MST3K Amazing Colossal Episode Guide:
"Vic Savage and Shannon O'Neill are young newlyweds terrorized by a huge caterpillarlike monster who lands on earth in a spaceship. The monster creeps and terrorizes, ingesting whole humans (who help him out by crawling into his mouth/hole/opening/thing/deal). In the backfilled epilogue, the creeping terror - who looks like a bad Chinese dragon - is declared "a creature from beyond our solar system", a highly specialized test animal sent to Earth to eat humans and record their data in its internal computer. A grenade finally destroys one of the creeping terrors, but another one has been loosed, and Sheriff Vic Savage runs his car into the other. Most of the dialogue has been replaced by narration which goes off on odd tangents."

If I remember it right, the victims were always eaten head-first, because the director had a bizarre fetish for filming women's legs (as they are eaten). Also, "swim! let the current take you away!". Bhabby! etc.

Believe it or not,I just got done watching the straight(non-MST3K) version of this movie 3 times in the past week!It's so mesmerizingly awful I don't even know where to start.Even though it was made in 1964 it almost seemed like a 1920's silent film,like it was made for hillbillies who were so impressed just to see a moving picture that they would be enthralled by anything! Thank you for this tribute.

My God, this movie was one of the worst they every showed. I mean it's up there with Hobgoblins and Monster a Go-Go as one of the all-out suckiest. Brilliant artwork; you do a great job capturing scenes from crappy movies.

I remember Tom Servo's line, "I think this might be a weird little turn-on for the director.
Seeing the voraphiles on deviantart, he created a real terror. The Creeping Terror was the alpha of vore, making me wanna kill the director more than ever.
Actually, I heard the film tanked so bad, the director had to run from loan collectors. Har har!

Oh the horror...the world's slowest,slowest, and SLOWEST monster on Earth devouring people willingly climbing into it's maw. XD What really cracked me up in this movie really was it virtually had NO dialogue, and the main character was the narrator. Also the 'roller rink' organ music added to the hilarity. a painful but wonderfully funny movie to watch. XD

I knew which movie this would be solely by the title. "My God! What is it?" One of the most wonderfully uninspired, stilted deliveries in any old film.
