Description Would you imagine finding so much colour on a walk through a mid-European forest in February? I did not before yesterday. This outburst of moss blooming (if that is what I think) proved me wrong.
Another lesson once again: taking a camera can open oneΒ΄s eyes!
What kind of moss? Here is a question to the specialists. Help is very welcome.

Beautiful shot, once again! Love the colours, and it is indeed odd to see such colours in the middle of winter! Awesome picture!

Yes, in the weeks afterwards when the colours turned much bleaker, it seemed very extraordinary to have been able to make this shot. But the date was true, after all.

It is so funny to look back to this particular shot now in June when there is so much more colour. Somehow it is hard to remember what a treat this colour festival was at the time. Great you like it so much still.

very colorful shot for february, looks more like an autumnal color scheme. What sort of moss it is I can't say, but it sure looks beautiful. One point of critique: I would have cropped it a bit higher - the blurry foreground with the dead leaf in it would have fallen victim to my "sissors"

Thank you very much for your critical advice. I considered it very convincing and therefore have recropped the picture. Hopefully you will like it better now.

I'm very proud that you took my advice - I think it looks better now, no blurryness to take the mind away from the beauty of the moss structure, and now it looks as the beholder is really IN the moss !

You see, I do listen. Well, from time to time. But I cannot deny that your criticism is well-founded in most cases.
