Description
A willow-tree in early spring, can there be a more beautiful sign of the change of seasons to the better?Taken at Zeist/The Netherlands.

Willows as very beautiful but here they are destroying some river systems. Around the high plains there is a willow eradication scheme (by poison) as they suck out what little water is left in the drought ridden creeks. Just as rabbits and cane toads have multiplied to detrimental proportions ~ well not nearly as bad as them.

What a pity that willows are a pest in your place. But they do need a lot of water. Fortunately that is no problem here.
