My hubby got a shirt from a friend at work the other day, it says "Unemployment: Made in China" and it's a fact here in the states. The thing is, they're not too bright..first they take the piecemeal jobs some of us could use to survive then they make everything with lead so the people they sell to will die...isn't that kind of killing your market?...This is a huge ship, great shot.

Ik heb de containers niet geteld, maar het lijkt me dat hij net iets kleiner is. De toegang tot het canaal via de sluizen van Ijmuiden dwingt tot bepaalde beperkingen die je in Rotterdam niet hebt.

Yes, the ocean going containerships of this size are really impressive! At the Kiel Canal we only get the so-called feeders, small container ships running from Hamburg through the canal into the Baltic Sea.

Maybe I'm wrong but I always thought NYK was a Japaneese Company. I work for Maersk Sealand (US) at times on a Containership and the run in Europe is Rotterdam , Bremerhaven, and Felixstowe.

I think that you are right as the ship was built in Japan in 2003. It seems to be running more often to Amsterdam. We were very lucky to be at the canal just a the right moment.

Het is vast een leeg schip, voor zover het leeg genoemd mag worden met zoveel containers aan boord.
Het ligt namelijk erg hoog in het water, niettemin 'n indrukwekkend gezicht, en een prachtig in beeld gebracht schip.
