Description
Another shot taken on my early-morning walk on 1st May at the Kiel Fjord ("Kieler FΓΆrde")/Germany, when the rising sun was colouring the cliff south of Schilksee in its beautiful reddish colours.Related content

The colour on the slope is like the soil, the earth, in much of Australia. Lovely 'sfeer'.

It is a mixture of clay and sand, once brought over by the ice of the last ice age.
Thanks a lot for all delightful comments, though very late.

This is my kind of morning! I'd imagine damp and cool as well, but the reddish colors and what you captured in the misty sky is just captivating! This feels like a very real place to me. Makes me want to go to the shore somewhere!

WOW, THIS IS PRETTY. IS THIS ALONG A RIVER? OR IS THAT A BAY THAT GOES TO THE OCEAN? THERE IS ALOT OF ERROSION GOING ON RIGHT THERE. I SEE THAT TREE STUMP WAS ONCE A TREE HIGH ABOVE.

It is a bay, once formed during the last ice age. The low hills are moraines, some of them clay and others mostly sand. Here they are sand and so are very susceptible to erosion. I have seen this cliff recede by about 10 meters in the last 20 years.
Here you can see one of the trees on top of the cliff still standing on the edge, in 2006:

Loverly colouring. Probably just me being picky but i would've preferred a little less exposure so the sky didn't seem so white and textureless and you could also get more of the colour on the cliff.
But apart from that it's a lovely shot and angle
