Agree with all the comments ... as I live in sub-tropical area we, unfortunately, don't get foliage colouring like this ...

Yes, it is one big advantage of these climate zones here that we have the change of the seasons. WinterΒ΄s bleakness is made up by it.

Beautiful!!!
Richard's dying to get to the New Forest before this week's out, to catch the autumn colours at their very best, but... the weather has turned very dull, and now it looks as though it'll rain! I do hope he gets the opportunity he so badly needs because last year, autumn seemed a total non-event (possibly because of the extreme weather conditions)!

Well in fact, today it's beautiful!!! He left early this morning and is on his way home now after taking 70 odd shots - thank goodness he didn't listen to the Weather forecast of doom!

It is very late that I read this, due to a new flood of messages. But I am very glad to hear the good news! Hopefully he is happy with his harvest!

He got some amazing shots! I wish he had his own account here so he could share them at dA, but the best of his photos are used for other purposes instead.

He has a website which has lots of lovely stuff on it at [link] but it will be a little while before his latest pictures get put on there - he's always way behind, because he has too much to do!!! Very busy man, and thus he really does enjoy his free times to go and do photography! Take a look to get an idea of what he has done - you might be surprised...
The one thing we get VERY little of here now-a-days are the very misty mornings we used to get years ago. Those were such a delight, and the only photos are old analogue film which have deteriorated quite considerably over the years..

There is indeed a lot of very beautiful stuff in your husbandΒ΄s galleries. It makes me dream ever so much more of going to Britain once again. And if only for a week each time, just as we did to Norway this summer. Of course, longer would be nicer, but one must keep to oneΒ΄s limits.
All the best,
JΓΌrgen

There is certainly much to see over here - what with England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, we have some of the most beautiful and vastly differing scenery in the world at different times of the year! (Nothing like the Grand Canyon though!!!!)

No Grand Canyon necessary. Beauty, a lot of beauty is also to be found in less spectacular places.

it's gorgeous!!! such bright and nice colours
do you know what it reminds me of? (it's a good thing) the autumn scenes from Disney's "Winnie-the-Pooh", they're just so pretty with all those colourful leaves and so is this shot

Yes, they are really at their best now. Alas it is drizzling here today. No good for going out without an assistent to hold the umbrella. Unfortunately I have no one for this important job ...
