YesterdayΒ΄s submission of the "sky lines" shot caused one of the viewers to remark that these lines were not contrails, but "chemtrails". And he advised me to google it. Always curious about natural phenomena, I did so immediately.Like this I was for the first time introduced to the theory of the so-called chemtrails. Well, let me say that I do not believe a word of this theorizing. As a professional historian I know only too well how conspiracy theories work and how people have loved them all through history.
Living near Schiphol Airport I see contrails nearly every day (unless there are low clouds of course), sometimes in the form of long and staying trails, widening with the wind, as on yesterdayΒ΄s shot, sometimes in the form which you see on this shot, taken on the Zuiderheide at Hilversum on an early morning just before sunrise some months ago.
It is just a matter of different atmospheric conditions which cause the various trail forms. And nothing else.

Wikipedia is very untrustworthy in some areas, due to the biases of the people who run it- but I agree with you 100% when it comes to contrails.

Like this shot the atmospheric refraction with the contrails and skyline with some Stars! Beauty! I agree their not purposely spraying chemicals in the air but maybe some carbon from the burned jet fuel mixed with water that crystallizes. Another great reference to debunk that conspiracy has appeared oh yes my Faith lies in Humanity and its Arts & Sciences.

Sorry, but you're ignorant and delusional if you don't believe that chemtrails exist. Yes, what you shot are contrails, but it's been admitted that chemtrails do indeed exist. And besides, the planes using chemtrails are military jets, not normal passenger planes.

The only thing that's effecting the time the contrails spend on the sky are the pressure and the temperature!
