Description
What could there be more ephemeral than the tiny silk threads of young spiders? On a morning walk near the lighthouse at Buelk in late October I suddenly saw them in the strong back-light of the morning sun: tens or perhaps hundreds of silky threads stretched out from the bushes on the right half-way across my path.
We call them "autumn threads" in Dutch, those silk threads that small spiders use to get either ballooned or to connect to another place in order to build a net.
Of course it was a challenge to make a picture of them. My attempt resulted in a shot that is all but perfect. But the experience was so special that I decided to share it and the picture with you after all.

Thanks a lot. Yes, I think only a few people know them. Good that you do so.

It' shard to see the threads, but the picture is amazing nonetheless.
