Yesterday evening the light was perfect on the Horneboeg Heath here near Hilversum/The Netherlands. The heath is more grass than heath now, but still it is a beautiful open stretch of countryside, great for walking, jogging and cycling.Related content

this is a beautiful shot, I love how the tracks guide the eye through the image and how you can see the wind in the grass and the tree. I was fooled into thinking the camera was tilted as well, but after reading your explanation and looking at it again it makes sense

Super that you like this shot that much! This little heath and the surrounding forests are very untypical bit of landscape here in the west of Holland, and we like it all the more for it. It makes a nice change, too, compared to the low-lying flatlands.

Very good you like the shot so much. It seems indeed that it should be rotated, but the land is really rising to the right. That is quite difficult in a photo, as you indeed think the shot is tilted. But I tried it out, rotating it would give a wrong impression. - That rise of land is just that 15 yards high "hillridge" of the Utrecht Hillridge which will us help here to survive the flooding of the west of Holland in due time for some time (when the climate change really shows its effects, but that will be some time after my leaving this world).
