Very beautiful and, well... poetic! The colours still look a lot like winter, so the gray fits pretty well.

I really like the atmosphere in this photo, even though I can't decide whether it's more bleak or peaceful. The gray-dominated color palette works great.

Many thanks for the praise. - What is a DSLR?

Digital Single Lens Reflex... basically a digital reflex camera. It would give you a lot of flexibility, widen your possibilities and increase the quality of your pictures. I think someone with your eye deserves one to make a perfect shot out of an otherwise nice shot.

I did not understand the D and therefore got completely guessing. Now I realize what you mean. Yes, it is a old dream of mine to have a DSLR.
But there is a problem: I have got used to my super-zoom of the Panasonic FZ10! And there is no small super-zoom lens for a SLR, not as far as I can see. Having had a two SLRs (analogic) with two lenses for 30 years, I have no intention to go back to the age of lense changing.
That may sound soft, but I am just an amateur after all. Ok., some better quality, that is indeed a plus. But not for the price of changing lenses or banging kilos around me. At the moment I can go cycling with the camera around my neck. Do you see me do that with a heavy SLR?
The solution: a new type SLR-zoom lense like the Leica lense on my Panasonic, a great small lense with a 12-time zoom. But I see it nowhere ...
Still, many thanks for the suggestion! And the underlying appreciation of what this amateur here is doing.

You are welcome JΓΌrgen. I see the situation. Well, there are some "all-terrain" lenses nowadays for digital SLRΒ΄s. An example is NikonΒ΄s or SigmaΒ΄s 18-200 mm which is equivalent to 28-300! IΒ΄ve seen really nice pictures taken with the Nikon. But yeah, it is still heavier than the Panasonic.

Yes, I heard about those Nikon and Sigma lenses. People say they have less quality than the "smaller" lenses with 3-point zoom. How much quality would I win? So I am still somewhat at a loss. Apart from the price, of course, as the Nikon lense costs more than my present camera ever did.
Once again many thanks for the info. I experience it as very supportive.
