Description
Due to the extreme dryness of the heath and the lack of fresh grass, this cow started to try blackberry leaves and seemed to like them, in spite of the well-known spines of this shrub.Taken on the Horneboeg Heath at Hilversum/The Netherlands.

I wonder! Some green stuff can be very poisinous, as for instance taxus. They know it and do not eat it. So these twigs must be alright.

I was just going to say (before I read your description) that it must not mind the prickly vines! I have those in my yard and they grow wildiy. Gloves to prune are a must!
