Description
It was a fly-agaric day at Laage Vuursche in October last year. Never did I see so many of them during one walk. The newly-founded fungi-club stimulated me to put them up.

Great you like them.
One more thing: you may be interested to know that I have three galleries on dA, with different purposes. Feel free to take a look at the other two, too:

They are somewhat poisonous, I am afraid!

Well.
Poisonous yes in the sense that if you consume it raw you will
be somewhat intoxicated but put into a tea or dry them right it would be
considered a high or energizer if well prepared like anything.
Nausea is a possibility at first while digestion aswell.
For very young children and older folks with health problems it can defiently
be dangerous i agree.
Dangerous, especially if mis-identified, there are species of the Amanita family that are highly
toxic and can easily kill a handfull of men with one specimen.
This mushroom has been used for it's entheogenic properties for thousands of years around the globe by many civilisations and was praised as a God, "flesh of" , 4000 to 6000 year old Rig Veda's.
I assume, preparation is key and above all moderation as with anything.

Many, many thanks for all this info! Very interesting indeed. But I am afraid, I shall remain a mushroom photographer, not a mushroom eater!

Looks like they have been nibbled upon! It's a very interesting shot. Mushrooms are hard to get a good perspective on in a capture, I think.

I wonder who nibbled them. Must be strong enough to take the poison.
I am glad you like the shot.

Yes, people do underestimate these fungi, I sometimes get the impression.
Great you like the shot. I was very lucky to find that special place and to have good light.
