Here we are at the end of the catching canal of the decoy. It will end a few yards further on in a small cage where the ducks could be seized by the duck-catcher in order to be killed.Related content

Yes, there is indeed a complete contrast between the beauty of the place and its deadly function for bird-catching. Fortunately it is now just a kind of museum. But they still exist, though only a very few. There wild ducks for exclusive restaurants are caught.

Well, I spared you the sight of the final cage. That would make all the lovely little DA girls who like to look at my horse shots, make loose consciousness. I could not have that on my mind.
