Description
Although this path is well kept, nobody ever walks here, I am afraid. The so-called "Hendriklaan" is part of the forest of Palace of Soesdijk. And while the park has been opened to the public since the last inhabitant, Prince Bernhard, died, the forest has not. So I took this shot yesterday just through the gate.Related content

Wow wow!
Donno how you capture these things... I see so many stunning things around me, but they never come out so great on camera as in real life, and you seem to not only capture real life wonderfulness, but even make it better!

Well they should open it ! there are too many buildings taking over the parks and grassy places in the world, need to protect such places from developers not from people in general.
(ok I get off my soap box now)

Just enjoy your soap box! No danger of developers here fortunately. But I agree that they are far too space-greedy.

Seems such a shame some of these beautiful places are kept for the pleasure only of the aristocracy or the very rich!

Deep inside I will never understand how can a forest.. or the river bank be closed for public access (unless there is some danger for people)...I've heard that in Sweden one may own a forest.. but may not forbid public to stroll there and to gather mushrooms for example...
