There are actually three different galleries. If you want to follow all my "art" production (I prefer to speak of attempting to be a good photographer rather than an "artist"), you will have to watch them all three, I am afraid. Of course I would love it, if you really do so.

Why three galleries?. Many of you are asking it.
The first was the jchandersΒ΄ one, mainly concentrated on nature shots. Then I started the lightthinkerΒ΄s one, combining inspiring quotations, i.e. βlightthoughtsβ, with good pictures. The third, the esperimenti-gallery was added last autumn, as I wanted to have a special gallery for the subject of βman and his workβ, where I could bring in people, city, ship and railway shots which do not really fit the nature shot concept of the jchanders-gallery, and also to do some experiments time and again. There is some overlap, of course, but there always is in life. And I have to accept that the esperimenti fans are fewer up till now. But one cannot have everything.

Now this picture desevered a more detailed critque. Starting at the bottom of the picture, the little bit of sand at the bottom right gives the picture a nice strong frame and hold interest in the bottom of the picture. The stright lines of the bridge contrast nicely with the flowing lines of the sand, and the uneven line of rocks behind. The sky is beauiful, classic golden colour that suites colour slides perfectly. I love this image. The windmill is very nice as well.

very beautiful shot, i especially like the golden tone and the 2 windmills you can see - a traditional one and a modern one... the composition is not entirelyu pleasing my, but that you will have guessed, my eyes rarely find one pleasing, in this case the square format seems weird and I'm longing for a wider view

I know you hate the square format! And in most cases I like the wide view better too. But here I wanted some concentration! And I must admit I do not like to be forced into just one format. Variation is life!

I do see it's use very limited though, especially in landscapes a long or high format sugests more space and an opennes while a square somehow seems more confined - in my opinion, I must say, there are no rules in art

But I agree it is a difficult format. So sometimes I force it a bit, just to get some variation in the gallery!
