Fabulous Jurgen. I like how you have a living one behind the dead one. Maybe 'my' dead tree was an oak. Whats left of it seems to be the right shape.. (I still need to get my one in the snow...!)

yes, I remember it Look fantastic with the snow, almost a fave if there wasn't that other tree again that still stands and the weird format you cropped this to
but still a beautiful shot, ignore my rambling

Beautiful. I like the way the barren branches contrast with the "fuller" tree in the background. All of the white in the image really defines this dead tree nicely.

Not as good as the other two. I can't decide which is better, the first or the second one,

Trees like that hold an endless fascination for me too. Unfortunately most of the ones around where I live are completely inaccessible... you drive past them at 100km/hour but there's nowhere to stop!
The light on the branches is really fantastic - gives it depth and dimension.

Yes, I know the feeling of not being able to access a beautiful place when driving. That is why I prefer the bike. You can stop anywhere.

Good point! Except that many of the places I see are in the middle of nowhere and you couldn't ride a bike there...
