Description
This is an old shot from 2006, taken on the grounds of the country-house/castle of Sypestyn, but the feelings which these early spring flowers convey is very much the same as I experience now: Winter has gone at last!Related content

Since I got on to the internet, in 1996, every year I remark on how much Netherlanders enjoy their seasons.
O.K. They grumbled about the snow and the disruption, etc.. But they're always so pleased to SEE spring.
Great composition. Lovely colours!

It is always better on the side of spring. Apart from the fact that autumn is great for taking pictures. But winter ..., not my favorite!

Common snowdrops and eranthis hyemalis (here I did not find a common English name, in Dutch they are called "winterakoniet", in German "Winterling", both names referring to their very early blossoming).
