This is the last shot with the old Nikkor 18-200 mm lense. Immediately after taking it, I banged the lense against the pole on which I had rested the camera, because the straps got entangled on a hook which I had not noticed.Only today I was able to look at this picture, after I had submitted the old lane shot taken yesterday from the same position [link] Not a bad shot, I would say, but a really pricey one!

I've always wanted nice lenses, never been able to have them though! My parents won't let me purchase them.

The trees look huge, very impressive!
May I ask what happened with your 18-200? This doesn't really look like a dangerous spot for a lens (no water to drop it in, no steep ravines...)

Just a stupid pole and a hook, the straps getting entangled without me noticing it, and there it happened: BANG!

I really hope your insurance will pay for the damage then... the 18-200 isn't exactly a cheap lens
