Description As these beechtree twigs with their brown leaves from last year and their still very tight buds show, spring is not yet round the corner here. We shall still have to wait three or even four weeks before these buds burst open and the spring miracle begins in the forest too.

Yes, you see it here in the gardens and parks, but in the forests the signs of it are still scarce. Beechtrees are opening their buds much later than chestnut trees, just to name these.
