Description These trees at the River Lek are standing on the so-called summer dike. You can just see the river on the right, while the little lake on the left is part of the area between the summer dike and the winter dike. This area is often being flooded by the river in winter, while lying dry in summer. In Dutch you call this area "uiterwaarden" (the only English translation I could find is "foreland").

Het is een stukje verder naar het oosten, bij het veer van Elst (dat op de andere kant ligt).
