There is a gracefullness to the Birch tree that really only becomes apparent when it has lost all its leaves. Lovely shot. Got to be a fav.

Very nice. What kind of trees are those? They have such intricate, delicate branches that lend themselves so well to photos such as this and the other shot with the golden sky.

They are birch trees. We have a lot of them here on the heathland.

Thanks a lot. The only danger are those dogs that are not well controlled by their owners. Unfortunately there are some of them from time to time.

Riverbreeze In reply to jchanders [2005-12-13 08:21:51 +0000 UTC]

Thats sad as I am very much a dog person and hate seeing one or two dogs unable to "train" their owners. Mind you some people should never be allowed to have pets ..... but another story ...

jchanders In reply to Riverbreeze [2005-12-13 10:45:09 +0000 UTC]

You are quite right. As I jog on that heath regularly, I am somewhat shy about the lesser well-trained sort. You will understand, I see.

Totally and as I said some people should not be allowed to own pets of any sorts

Sonrisador [2005-12-11 22:42:43 +0000 UTC]

have you changed the colours here or is that how it appeared naturally?
either way, lovely image

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jchanders In reply to Sonrisador [2005-12-12 10:55:14 +0000 UTC]

The natural light turns out so blue on a digital camera before sunrise and after sunset, due to the change of the light temperature. See my waveplay shot some time back with the same sort of blue. Our human eye adapts "better" to this light, as the brains gives us somehow the colours we know or rather somewhat darker versions of them.
