Wonderful capture!
I found them in one of my books: having fun on the same flower!!!!! They are called: Rhagonycha fulva (kleine rode weekschildkever). Very common in July-August. They love to sit on umbels of umbelliferae.

Whoa! Looks like some of those beetles are having some "fun".
That happens here sometimes every few years. Except we get a big wave of ladybugs... Ladybugs everywhere!

Yes, "fun" indeed! Hope you survive the ladybugs!

Yes, I would not like them to crawl on me either. Many thanks for commenting.

Nice shot
I think those are Soldier Beetles, genus Cantharis Rufa. More info here: [link]

Thanks a lot, especially for the info. Indeed this is what they are (even the "often seen in copula" fits!).
Not to forget: many thanks for favouring the butterfly picture!

I will give it a go..
They look like a species called Rhagonycha fulva to me...
It is a common species of soldier beetle found usually on umbellifers (plants of the parsley family (Umbelliferae))
They are very, very active (as can be seen in your shot ) in hot sunny weather..
Excellent shot...

I think they all liked the hot weather. Seem to be copulating regularly! Whether happiness is implied, I do not know, but I hope they enjoyed it.

Once again, well captured. You're right about the colors on that butterfly, and the color of those beetles is also very intriguing. Great work!

He die is goed gelukt, zeg!! Wat mooi! Wat grappig dat bij 6 mm en F/5.6 de achtergrond toch onscherp is Heel leuk!

Ik heb hem een beetje uitvergroot. De achtergrond was vrij ver weg, dus vandaar dat die niet scherp is.
