Even though Matthijs and I agree on the amount of light, this is a photograph with great detail and depth. Good shooting Jurgen.

hmmm - it's a nice still-life. The sun is very strong just as in the other forrest-floor makro. Can't say it's sweeping my off m feet, but it's nice and somewhat cute because it makes me think of squirrels that have taken the acorns away

Great you like the idea. As to the brightness, I just love light and colour as you know. And it is very nice to find it on a barren winter heath. On the other hand I agree about the shot being just a bit too bright, and so I have just re-submitted a slightly darker version.

Yes, I find more and more that I like making these small still-life kind of shots. And I just love to find colour on a barren-looking winter heath.
