Very pretty and misty! I half expect to see the headless horseman come charging along on his black steed, though...

This reminds me of a horseshot taken on this path. Not headless though ... fortunately!

Beautiful misty shot!!! The path looks like it's ending like a tunnel in the end. The tunnel of spring?!
The place must be beautiful in spring and summer too!!!

Well, it was not yet the tunnel of spring! But I shall return there often enough, and I shall takes new pictures this time!
Thanks very much for the fav!

on the thumbnail, it looked like there was a deep drop on the left, and actually, If i don't look there well, it still gives the illusion one could so easely fall there. It gives the image a very interresting balance and dynamic. What I don't like are the blurred leaves you can see on the top part, esspecially the ones in the middle, the right corner ones kinda fit.

jchanders In reply to Araantonak [2006-01-25 14:44:34 +0000 UTC]
I told my wife about it! Those leaves! He would see them! Actually I cut quite a few away by cropping the shot at the top, but felt I could not crop it more.
But you did not mention the second point why this is not a really perfect shot: the lamppost of the farm some 50 or so meters on on the right. Damn that lamppost! As there was little light I had to press the camera against a tree! So I could not go closer to get the leaves out and neither could I stand more to the right to get that lamppost out! One should carry a tripod along in the evening!

Araantonak In reply to jchanders [2006-01-25 14:52:46 +0000 UTC]
You hid the post well though, I was so focussed on not visually falling into the river that I forgot to complain about it !!! :eyespopping:
the solution to your dilemma would be manipulation, but I know you don't favor meddling to much with your shots

jchanders In reply to Araantonak [2006-01-25 14:59:01 +0000 UTC]
No, no such manip!
Actually it is no river, but an old canal, to be exact! But never mind ...

Nice elements in the shot but for me the canal to the left doesn't work composition-wise (Collective Boo Hisses from Deviantarters)
The shot for me is down the path towards the tunnel of light.. did you take any other shots at this time? Great light tho.

As I answered to your reaction on the new-submitted shot: Like improves by differences. Actually I had no better shot from that walk, but took one from a walk a few days earlier. You have to work with what you have.

How similar (as I have said before) our two parts of the world are. I just love this. The two mallards there in the water, the misty air, the trail leading to the next adventure or photograph, the small puddles caused by rain, leaves still sitting in little wind made piles. Fantastic submission, thank you so much for sharing .... mmm yes would walk there too.

Do you mean "Esperimenti"?....
π: 0 β©: 1
jchanders In reply to edelweiss26 [2006-01-22 19:38:09 +0000 UTC]
Yes, I do. I chose the title because I am learning Italian and I liked it, wanting the gallery for some experiments. But soon it became a serious gallery under the unwritten title "man and manΒ΄s work", with some overlap with especially the lightthinker gallery of course, as that one is not so very much nature-directed as this one is by now.
