My contribution to the #ghibliredraw challenge.

This movie was introduced to me by my former Layout Supervisor, who’s currently working in an animation studio. He recommended me to see the film because of their stunning background art. It took me quite some time before I see the movie. While I’m stuck at home because of the lockdown, I have more free time in my hands. Lucky for me, the film is currently streaming on Netflix.

As I see the film, I was stunned with all the efforts that the layout artists did in the city of Koriko. Such fine details. The background arts shown in Studio Ghibli's films are heavily detailed. Therefore, I took the challenge to reimagine and redraw the scene using my knowledge in perspective drawing and my art style.

It took me 2 weeks to finish my masterpiece. I did pay attention to the details of my character and background art. I also made this work using my art style. Glad that I accepted this as a challenge. As a result, I did my best in executing my masterpiece, using my new knowledge and skills in digital art and sketch art. I was close to giving up back then. It was worth the wait. I also did render Kiki so beautifully. Kudos to this! 🥳✊🏻
