So apparently, there's a new Thundercats reboot coming to Cartoon Network. People are all up and arms about it because the artstyle resembles that of Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, etc. Hence the whole 'Calarts style' meme has been running on Twitter.Drew my character, Kitty in the style for the fun of it.
I don't have anything against Calarts. Heck, I wish I could go there to persue a cartoon career! I just think the overreaction is funny.

Seeing people complain about this art style as if we haven't had popular art styles in the past is so funny to me. Not to mention that it's completely harmless and people over-exaggerate how the characters all look the same.
By the way, the term "CalArts style" was coined by John K and he's a nasty pedophile who gave everyone on his animation studio a hard time.

Same here. They always go on and on about how this style trend is awful and that modern cartoons are terrible but past cartoons have always had popular styles too. I don't get why they make such a fuss about it?
