Updated for iOS 5 (reworked most graphics; fixed plist's)Please report if the "slide to unlock/view/read text" is gone.
If you know how to remove "slide to view" from the Reminders app, contribute!
iOS 5.0+: SteelLock 1.2 
iOS 4.3+: SteelLock 1.1 for earlier iOS versions try this: SteelLock 1.0 If you want a clean and native looking replacement slider, look no further. Apple should have made this from the start.
Note: iPod controls and lockclock font and wallpaper are not included.

Known bugs: - "Unlocked Incoming Call Screen"/ "Use As Wallpaper Screen" and "Slide to Power Off Screen" has wrong bottom background bar.(This is because apple changed images in 4.2+ and seperated the unlock slider. The slider background is also used for these other screens, and since its a slim slider, it doesn't fit right. - If anyone knows a solution, please contribute.)

Replace the files from the com.apple.TelephonyUI folder with the original ones on your iphone..should work. Though you will have to edit some strings away, so that the slide to unlock text will not show up. Also the lockscreen camera button (ios5) isn't implemented yet (as you'll notice). But I'm planning to release either an update or a new lockscreen skin altogether..

Well I did some time ago, I even reduced the slider's size to a standard iPhone 3GS icon size but still it didn't worked, I can get winterboard to recognise it as a theme but when applied it won't change the slider once I respring. But it's okay, don't worry.

You might try to locate the actual images in your filesystem and change the corresponding names/re-size the images.

For some reason the slider button is lower than where it should be and it still shows the default slider BG.

Originally I made a circle version, but it wont work properly..
If you move the slider to the right it stops at some point. Meaning that if the slider is smaller than the original apple one, it will stop before it reaches the other edge.
Thats not acceptable to me..

Hmm..seems to work. It didn't work on erlier iOS versions..so I discontinued implementing the round version.
I might release a second version with the round knob. Please don't create such a release yourself for public.
