I have to stop here too, I love this photo. It is transmitts the dignity of the wild west for me. Maybe now I am the one, who romanticize the things Great lighting, great perspective and wonderful colours.

The rail is initially what made the United States "united" so in essence you are right on! The train is what made our industry move before we had the interstate highway system.
Thank you for the comment!
Oh... I will respond to your other post on my other picture tomorrow... It deserves a bit more brain power than I am able to give it at the moment. (I just got back from a birthday party and my brain is slowed by the essence of "sΓΆr" haha)

I know it's weird that I'm a girl but I love trains! There is a small switch yard by me. I love to go see the trains!

Not weird at all! Trains are awesome! I wish that the U.S. had more train systems for commuters to use.

They used to. I have a book called Erie Power my grandpa gave me. It is mostly about steam power. They were so awesome! But they talk about all the commuter trains and how they operated back in the early 1900s to the 50s in N.Y. and N.J. It's really cool! Sad that it's all gone now.
