I just did this yesterday, so it's understandable you hadn't seen it yet! 
Basically, there are a lot of connotations that come with the name "Sovereign Cross". And, in the past year, I had wanted to move him back to the more 'mythology" based demon hunter/paladin that he was 30 years ago when I first created him. His name was a reflection of myself back then, and it's a mouthful to say the least. So, I wanted something shorter, punchier, but still with a meaning that related directly to his story and where his powers come from.
The current costume design is even closer to the original idea than the previous one was, and I believe a lot more polished as well.

Is that a particular symbol font on his gauntlets and belt? can I download that from somewhere?

I used particular ones, but any "ancient" or "magic" font is cool since he derives his powers from many different Pantheons. Good question LJ!
