I don't understand the critisism about Samus face. Never once did I look at this one and thought it was a dude. It looks great to me.

Thanks! Yeah, I try to avoid drawing female characters, in part because I stink at drawing women, but mostly because fan boys expect them to be overly-exaggerated, gorgeous pieces of eye-candy.

very nice! the only suggestion i have is that you should study the female face more ;D facial placement, features, and structure really affeects what gender the person appears to be

Lovely colors but I would agree on the female facial structure. Heck, you'd probably do better than me. I'm still trying to practice on such proportions.

Yeah you gave samus a bad case of 'man-face'. The only suggestion I can make is study women faces. Try using less lines to define features and such.

Yeah female faces are very hard. If you aren't familiar with andrew loomis already, hes a pretty common artist with lots of book on the internet for free since their copyright ran out. Just look up andrew loomis and there are plenty of websites with his books.
