I got super excited when I read your prompt because I LOVE these kinds of creatures! The branches are rooted behind its shoulders and on its ribs.
I hope this is what you were wanting, I went for a mostly fox design but added in some dragon elements ; u ;
You can totally change anything you don't like or add anything

THIS IS JUST PERFECT YOU DONT UNDERSTAND, ITS EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE
I was having such trouble designing this myself so i made the brief for C-E in hopes of someone doing what i couldnt so and you EXEDED THAT
i ABSOLUTELY LOVE the minimal colour palette and design options, and the fact that you drew two different versions of it!
You blended fox and dragon so well and incorporated everything i really wanted perfectly, they're a treat on the eyes.
