Omg it's finally done. I welcome Nebulaxy to my gallery! Zee pretty Reask babs.
This is been my break from commissions and trades for a few days. It was quite challenging in a lot of ways and I nearly threw in the towel before even starting the character due to the snow. I really need to work on it I think. I can paint snow on a small scale but nothing quite at this scale. The original file of this was 3000x6000 px so you can imagine the pain.
But like most of my artworks I drew the background before shading and in this case I hadn't linearted or colour the character either. But I found a pose I like on the internet of a tiger and then I spent about 6hrs drawing the bones for the character since the Reask species are bones and floof. My drawing them i mean sketching them.. took me 6hrs to sektch the bones before linearting them and then took me about 5hrs to lineart them.
I can't remember how this idea came to mind but I was in a stream with Elkaii and she was drawing Nebu her reask and another reask dancing or something? and it then got me thinking about my character and her environment and how she lives around the aurora australis which sparked this idea that as well as guarding the night under those lights, she instead does a sort of Ribbon Dance with the northern lights guiding them across the mountains and sky as she bounces between mountains. Reasks as a species are huge, so it's quite possible for them to jump between mountains like that.
Anywho, I thought it was a nice idea and shows an example of her fun loving side since that's a good portrayal of the character.
I did use brushes for this of course XD but although I've named them with the dA accounts of the owners I used so many I can't remember which ones I used because I made it over 3 days XD
Also side note, kinda reminds me of nyan Nebu XD rainbow farts haha!
