Description 40x19 Acrylic on wood.

Started this one...barely 2 hours in, long way to go still. The white stuff at the bottom is spackling, which'll be volcanic rocks as they explode.

hello my dear, nice work, like i echo the above comment "great use of texture" i look forward to seeing it finished. Just a quick note: about the wings make sure they are at the same angle as the creature itself, the righthand wing (thats is you right) should be lower than the left happy painting

Whoa, you painted this? Nice! Great use of texture--it just adds more depth to the overall feeling. When it comes to painting, I never know where to begin.

Thanks May! . I'm a novice at painting, but I usually do various concept sketches then start out with laying down background colours and building up from there, adding in detail as I go along.
