Cool... For sunset type shots, get your sun and horizon off the center. You want people's gaze to wonder though your shots, and with your sun (the brightest spot in the shot) close to the center, our eyes go straight there and follow the horizon out of the frame. By putting the horizon in a different "layer." It's known as the rule of thirds. It's often appropriately broken, but if you start with it, you'll start right off with a better composition.
Look at this image, its your I just cropped and rotated it so you can get an idea of what im talking about([link] )
1) reduces the negative space (empty sky, sand) and modifies the composition to take the horizon off the vertical mid height (usually not a good idea....boring).
2) Level horizion. Sometimes this is ok, I wasnt sure what you were going for. So I straightened it.

oh yeeaa lol I actually just started photography class and all you said is true, but thanks a lot. I was gonna crop it, but was too lazy -_- lol. I just learned about the rule of thirds too, I have yet to apply it to real photography. This was taken a while back, so I just snapped away lol.
But wow, thanks a lot for that detailed critique . I will be uploading more soon, and will try new things.
