Will there be a HAPPY FEET 3?

Well, in Wikipedia, there is a Happy Feet franchise page, but in the section that says "Happy Feet Three", it mentions of a third Happy Feet film comes from an interview, in which director George Miller was asked if he had any plans for Happy Feet Three.

Happy Feet Two came out in 3 years but the third one not.

Maybe if he was in Happy Feet 3, he can be voiced by Dan Castellaneta just like when he voiced Ramon in the Happy Feet video game.

Robin Williams rocked as RamΓ³n. Not RaΓΊl.
He was also the voice of Lovelace.

But you knew that.

quetzaclot [2007-03-03 00:06:34 +0000 UTC]

I must say that your technique is not only accurate, but original aswell; the way the cross hatching expresses only the darkest nuances of shade gives the picture movement without being constrained like so many other pieces of artwork that I have seen around Deviantart's many galleries. One question though, what does the "WB Product Art" mean? I am taking a guess and deducting that you were commissioned to draw this by Animal Logic or some organisation like that, but I may be wrong.

You put other draughtsmen to shame, and so I whole heartedly congratulate you on this technical feat (that goes for all your other Happy Feet work aswell).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Jerome-K-Moore In reply to quetzaclot [2007-03-04 01:36:54 +0000 UTC]

Well, thank you very much. I'm not sure about how original my technique is here, but okay. I just solved the problem the best way I knew how.

I used to work on staff in the Warner Bros Consumer Products art department. As part of WB Marketing, we provided style guide art for licensees around the world for use on their merchandise. With most of the basic line art and design produced by WB's own in-house artists, a standard of quality was better ensured as exclusive images filtered out to the public on toy packages, apparel, and accessories.

Word Ramon, word!
Thankies! But I think you're underestimating your fans here... they just didn't write about it..that doesn't mean they didn't notice it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Jerome-K-Moore In reply to RedLina [2006-11-20 14:35:12 +0000 UTC]

Well, most peeps are most comfortable with just writing things like, "Nice one." "Awesome, dude." "Good job." lol

Incisive comments are more fun, and invite discussion or debate... as I seem to remember a sassy young JeRomanian girl did not long ago. lol

Heh... yeah..I know what you mean...I try not to leave one liners since they annoy the snot outta me!! Alas...when you really don't have anything to comment upon but you want to comment anyway...oneliners get you out of trouble...then again...so do emoticons!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Jerome-K-Moore In reply to RedLina [2006-11-20 14:47:27 +0000 UTC]

True. But we're a community of creative people here. We're all about expressing ourselves. We should be just as expressive of our thoughts with words as we are with pictures.

But, it's all good.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RedLina In reply to Jerome-K-Moore [2006-11-20 15:02:45 +0000 UTC]

Righto!
Although...honestly...my knowledge of drawing and perspective and everything is limited (and I mean WAAAY limited). you can't expect me to touch on points I don't even know exist... everybody comments up to the level he/she is able to.

besides, some are just lazy and don't feel like thinking too much and racking their brains to figure out what to say...

you, with the massive amount of experience you have, can easily see the points on which you should emphasize if you were to comment upon something whereas somebody with little to zero experience cannot. that's why your comments are more valuable than a lot of others'.

another reason why people don't comment might be that they're too much in awe to write something, or that they don't have the nerve to speak up to the people they admire... it's happened to me lots of times and i'm not exactly proud of it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Jerome-K-Moore In reply to RedLina [2006-11-20 16:39:52 +0000 UTC]

Agreed. And thank you so much for your kind words. I do have some experience, but I still feel that I can learn from someone with less mileage, too, as it were. Everyone has their own perspective, and something unique to offer. I may not notice a particular detail because I was too close to the project, but another artist could cast a whole new light, experience or no, eldest to youngest. You're an example of this. The first thing we must all put aside here among our peers and our younger brothers and sisters is EGO. Speak your mind. Politely, but do so. And not every comment need be a criticism. An earnest question is welcome just as much, as long as the sincere objective is to learn. All of this is better than senseless fawning which serves no purpose other than to separate us into kiss-ass fanboys and fangirls, defeating one of the great benefits of being here at Deviant ART. ALL of us can get a "Nice job, man," or a "Cool lines, dude. Did you use a pencil?" from anybody on the street. HERE we have a very special GLOBAL forum. Why waste this opportunity? It may NEVER come again.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RedLina In reply to Jerome-K-Moore [2006-11-20 17:45:23 +0000 UTC]

Agreed.
Come to think about it..that's why I love this site so much! I can watch my favourite artists and their work and get feedback (although...not much) and give feedback (as much as I can ) and talk to both like-minded people and artists who have a whole different take on things than I have. That's what progress is about, isn't it? Debate and reach a consensus, or never reach one ever, but still gain knowledge and experience.
You know, the line I positively hate is: "I wish I could draw like you." It's stupid. Really now. Can't people be more creative? So you're not good at drawing. You must be good at something else. Everybody's good at something. Stop pestering me and look inside yourself and find out what you're good at. Besides...there are waaaay more artists who draw infinitely better than I do, it just makes me wanna beat up the people who say that!!
