Hey there, I featured this in my journal. It's an amazing piece, and I love the colours and composition. Bravo. ( awhile ago).

I am seriously considering going there later this year, maybe in winter, when it's not so hot....if I can get over the mountains lol Balanced is an understatement! This is just brilliantly captured and exposed!

Well, you might get the hang of landscape photography if you keep praticing, this is close.
Seriously though, bloody brilliant shot. So much to look at, colours, textures, subjects, etc.

Damn, think I replied to the wrong reply....
Thanks bro, hopefully one day I'll "feel it" it's still a struggle though. I think the major issue I have is that I'm too awestruck by these places to really take an "artistic" viewpoint.. or, maybe that's the point? lol..

Wow...this is awesome...are you doing a double exposure to get this dynamic range?

jerryhazard In reply to lidarman [2007-06-11 05:19:47 +0000 UTC]
Well, I *tried* to hdr it, but it didn't really work right. I ended up doing about 8 layers of curves to blend it all in.. thank you!

Wow, gorgeous, great colours and superb composition. Did you run in the the coyote or roadrunner while you were there?

thanks.. and funny you should ask.. at this spot later in the night, we did come across a pack of coyotes.. we knew this because their howling surrounded us. Never saw them though, I'm sure they saw us.

We have coyotes here in western NY, too. I've only seen them dead on the side of the road, though.
