For some weird reason, my girlfriend thinks the Giant Breadbug is super cute. o_O But I didn't want to make one and not end up with one for my collection. Solution?: Make two of 'em. This one is for my collection and eventually, for Pikmin World. Krista's breadbug will be a little bit different, but you'll see that pretty soon.The thing is, I didn't ever plan on making a Breadbug. they aren't interesting from a sculptor's point of view. Despite this truth, he turned out to be so frustratingly difficult that I was turned off of sculpting for a while. It's the weird mix of colours that made this so challenging. I ended up going for a simple, almost cell-shaded look. And honestly, he turned out much better than I expected.

Oh, I like it. I just wouldn't have chosen to sculpt it over some the other Pikmin creatures. I figured it's form was too similar to that of a bulborb which I had already made. It turned out to be a lot more challenging than that.

Yeah, I really lucked out with that one. For Christmas, my dad put three random paints in my stocking. 'Breadbug brown' happened to be one of them.

Actually, I just happened to have some burgundy. The real difficulty was in the transition of colours from dark to the lighter belly.

Yeah. I could really benefit from a painting class. o_o I've got a lot better since I started painting, but there are some things I don't even want to attempt. There's a few Pikmin creatures that I really want to sculpt, (Toady Bloyster being one), but I have no idea how to get the colour right. If you don't know what I'm talking about, clicky: [link]

Wow, it would be great, but yeah that creatures may be a challenge when painting, but surely you'll make an excelent work, lets see if you can make a 'Cloaking Burrow-nit' maybe this guy will be a piece of cake

Ever since I decided to make pikmin creatures, the Burrow-nit has been one that I've wanted to do the most. I kept getting distracted though and ended up with a bunch of other critters. I think it's time I get that burrow-nit done though.

For some reason the picture is all ugly and zoomed-in when it shouldn't be. I'm trying to get a better one up.
