Venom Viper in color, brought to you by the X9.com Maverick Contest of 2009. Yes sir, I colored this just for that contest.As much as I had high hopes for Viper, he didn't win. But as with Fusion, he got some good mentions! Good enough I suppose. The real fun of entering contests is the creative process behind it and seeing all the creativity that the contest produces anyway. The real prize is the inspiration that everyone walks away with at the end of the day.

Thanks! I do like taking creatures and "robiticizing" them (is that even a word?). I like the way this one came out too. Would like to draw this guy again one day.

And I was just thinking a while of how interesing it would be to see more designs in the saga with legless dudes, like Depth Dragoon. I love the design, it's very...wel,intimidating and stuff. xD
It'd would be nice to see a bit more shading on the tail, but it's nice as it is.
