It's a big break from my usual work! Now a friend is using this one as her profile pic on FB.

There's an ink and watercolour version of this which I might also post online.

Ha ha, excellent! I could definitely see this sort of picture in a children's movie(A scary children's movie, mind you). It's great to see that you can also do this style apart from your usual one.

I would really enjoy seeing that one if it helps to have one more vote for it. Ha ha.

Go to sleep under this sort of thing every night, and you'd probably grow up to be imaginative, dysfunctional, or rebelliously conventional.

And to go on a tangent, since I was mentioning this to a friend the other day - I really don't see why there's this trend that anything that's geared to children has to be "babyfied" lest they are permanently scarred. When I was working on schoolbook illustration I was told to avoid anything that could be even remotely scary...including things such as, I kid you not, showing teeth and body hair. What the hell? Children are a hell of a strong breed. Besides, the reason why fairytales are in a certain way is that children LIKE to be scared from time to time - I know that, for example, my younger sister actively seeked creepy movies or books FOR the creepy factor. She would have been thrilled to have this as her wallpaper, I'm sure. There's also probably an element of introducing children to things that are actually scary early in life so that they won't have a mental breakdown every other day as adults.

So I say: BRING ON THE CREEPY NURSERY WALLPAPER. And if it has the effects you say too, it can't be anything but healthy.

Thanks! I've found strong silhouettes make stronger artwork overall, though this piece works fine as it is. This and similar cartoons have gone down extremely well with an offline audience to the detriment of more serious work and commissions I'm not very keen on.
