Description
The theme of my series of new paintings is "Compassion". I am interested in what Jeremy Rifkin calls the "Empathic Civilization" and want to describe a responsive, sympathetic relationship with nature.Related content

This absolutely blows my mind, incredibly beautiful and full of life and passion, and it's not even finished! WOW!

This puts me in mind of one of the faeries from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The lunatic, the lover, and the poet,
Are of imagination all compact...
And as imagination bodies forth
The form of things unknown, the poets pen
Turns them to shapes, and give to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.

Duke Theseus, act five, when he's discussing the "dream" the lovers described with Hippolyta. That's one of my favorite quotes from MSND. (The others being Lysander saying "You have her father's love, Demetrius, let me have Hermia's, Do you marry him." and Puck's "If we shadows have offended..." aside.)

This is GREAT! The color palette is great, I really love how well you work with darks, but what I'm really in love with are the various textures you've created here from her clothes to her hair to the fantastic flowing background
