This is nice. It will be awesome to be able to chose the color of this widgets to customize this set to any background. Just an idea!

Yes will be nice! But the fact is that the multicolor function/script works only on text and "empty" images/layers.. And since we have a "real" image for background here, the only way is to create manual other images with different colors and then add a script to choose between them, like I did in the v2 of this widget:
