Metroid, Mario, BattleToads, ExciteBike, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Gargoyles Quest. All of which were great games during the Snes times.

Well, but as it seems it was edited from other sprite, wasn't it?
I think you should do something from scratch.
And you need to know how to save it so it don't lose quality. Always save in .png (and .gif if you have the right softwares)

I used a sprite from a game for reference. And I made this from scratch, I made it from a buddy's drawing. [link] it still has the guidelines cause I was too lazy to erase it. O.O;;
