What tools do you use on paint? Do you use the grid? How far do you zoom in? What line thickness? O.O ... sorry for so many questions, but I really wanna get better

Just the ones who don't blur the lines / No / As far as it needed to be, most of time 8x but I always use the window with 1x / When I'm making the scratch I use 4x pixels, but to refine I use 1x.

This brings back some great childhood memories. The red gargoyle at the top is from Ghost 'n Goblins, The guy with the gun is Mega Man, next to him is Mario, then Link, Samus and that's sadly all I recognize.
