When you run into this the amount of stupid makes you want to facepalm, really, really, hard. Don't deny it.It's not so much that blocking bothers me it's just....pretty self explanatory. You've probably run into this.
Adding to ICB due to not having much art lately.
I admit I have trouble keeping my patience with these types, but you have to try.

For the record this was drawn simplistically on purpose. Going into scraps. Right away.

This is how it usually goes for ME:
"Hey you know, it's against the rules to post art you didn't make, even if you credited it. You could get banned for this. Just warning you."

Most people on this site make me rage in general. Sometimes their so stupid that it's hard to ignore and you just want to force some sense into them before they loose their account. I believe in second chances, but that doesn't mean when you get that second chance you should screw it up and do the same thing over again. I've struggled with reports as well. Sometimes they take them down and sometimes they don't. I hate it. Especially when you know it's been traced or not.

One case and it was a pretty popular--I'm even ashamed to say I was a fan of them, I didn't KNOW it was stolen, in my defense--deviant who drew Sailor Moon art.... he ended up getting called out for tracing, and the more evidence that popped up, some lines lined up perfectly. Quite a few. Turns out he was tracing official art for commissions.... he was getting PAID for it. Calling himself a sailor moon fan, what disgusted me the most is a tie between a few things, he actually COULD draw. He even taught it apparently, from what I've heard. He just wanted to make commissions go faster....Another thing was his fans defended him and he was popular for drawing Sailor Moon art, but the people he was victimizing wasn't anyone not in that group, good Sailor Moon artists who weren't stealing were going unnoticed and the people he was taking money from was his fans and the official Sailor Moon companies themselves.
I'm not a huge fan of Sailor Moon but that was messed up, turns out he deactivated too.

I think I know who you're talking about. I won't name any names just because that guy had a shit load of fans. Though, what about his "oc" did he trace screenshots as well or did he draw those? I can't remember fully. I just remember going to his account one day and he was gone. 0_0; To be honest I was a little sad about it because I thought he drew his stuff. I also hate it when these fans of people like have to white knight them and that just makes it worse. I think they may have good intentions at first, it's just they take it so bloody seriously that the drama just drags on and eventually said person gets fed up. Oh internet. I also agree with everything you said btw.

yeah. Maybe on vector of a character is fine if it's the same character. I just don't think it's right to have an entire gallery of it and then draw in between. Especially if you can draw rather well.

I don't like vectors since it's not hard to do, and they get super popular for stuff that's not theirs at all, it's not different from tracing really.
And vectoring is just using the tool it's extremely insulting to those of us who use it not to trace.

It's all you can do, I spoke to someone just like this today. They blocked me after saying this (or hid the comments, might have been both) then took it down (if they did) to note me and try to be friends but say they didn't believe me about the rules....*sigh*
Did the same to another mod of ICB but noted them that their gallery broke ToS (of course it didn't) then befriended them.
It was confusing.
