Definitely has the same emotional charge as your other works in the same vein : should it turn out as an obsession, it would certainly be one worth embracing... The dynamic postures of character and tree are the immediate strong point of the piece, but it is much more than that -- most notably, a perfect illustration of the "as inside, so outside" stylistic theme : are the waste lands the knight trudges through the remains of a scorched earth conflict or, indeed, the inner landscape of a soul turned to ashes by war ?
