Chapter 1Reaver's new life, and Raven's beginning
Sitting in front of the fireplace, a 'yellowfairy' in his hand. Taking small sips always helped him focus on work. Sitting at his desk, his mistress was sitting and read a romantic novel. He glanced outside as the snow fell, getting up with the drink in his hand. He looked out the window, children played ball outside in the road. On the other side of the lake, five children tossed it back and forth to a different person. The frozen lake, he took out his pocket watch looking at the time. Closing it back up, he went back to his desk to continue his work.
His eye trailing from between his mistress and the work out in front of him. A black flare dress with a tight corset, and her Twili marks of power showing through the tight sleeves. Her orange hair half way, the paintings. The paintings that trailed the line of words on the page. Only the sound of crackling ambers and the scratching of a pen against paper. Everything was at peace, the front door opened. Hearing a sweet laughter waiting a few minutes, the sweet laughter entered the room.
Her long raven hair flowed behind her to her waist, her green emeralds sparkled. Wearing her silver tiara which she had had since she was, but a baby. Her white winter dress, with warm sleeves she rushed over to hug her mother. "Mommy, guess what I found." She spoke in the Albion accent similar to her father's. "What?" Her mother's voice was of a calm women's voice in a different sense of tone, more high pitched. The young girl pulled out a shining gem from inside her pocket. Her mother picked up the gem and examined it, feeling its smooth surface. "Raven, where ever did you find this?" "I found it near the edge of Silverpine mommy." She frowned, and then enclosed the rock in her palm. "Raven you know who this is from? I am glad you brought it to me, now run along. You still have to make cookies for Santa; you wouldn't want him to be disappointed now would you?"
"Oh no I wouldn't, but mother are you and father still going to hold the Christmas party this year?" Raven asked, her mother an answered. "Why yes, every year the day before Christmas Eve." Raven nodded, and then looked at her father sitting at the desk. "Father, I wanted to know… Since I am not allowed to attend the party. Lily asked me to have a sleep over with her, and with Uncle Link and Aunt Zelda? May I father please?" Reaver looked up, he heard the question, but didn't know what to answer. Midna and he stared for a minute. True Raven wasn't allowed at the party, but with Raven gone. Him and Midna, could party without the worry of a little one. Catching them red handed, Reaver dipped the pen in its ink well and said. "Yes, you may I want you to ride Scales to the mirror alright. Will Aunt Zelda be waiting for you?" He asked he didn't want his little eight year old wondering on her own just yet. "Yes, father Aunt Zelda is waiting." Reaver shook his head and said. "Alright go get your stuff ready and saddle Scales alright, and take Scales with you." Raven smiled kissed her mother on the cheek and then asked. "Father, um one other thing…"
Reaver looked up oh no, was what was in his head. "When you and mommy have that party, can Lizzy make sure no one goes in my room?" Reaver sighed with relief; he was hoping Raven won't ask the same question she did the other day.
(Explaining the story) Reaver was sitting in the study with Midna, they were talking. Midna for, Avo doesn't know why wanted to have another child. Reaver wasn't exactly sure he wanted another one. Raven wondered into the room and heard the word baby. One of her friends at school told her how their mother was having a baby. Raven didn't know how exactly where babies come from. She was sure her father and mother knew, she decided to ask her father. Her father was very straight forward with things, she wanted a clear answer. But before Raven opened the door, then Aunt Sophie had warped in the room. "Hey, so I've got news! Reaver we need you and Midna the Ooccoo are being stubborn again." And Sophie went on and Raven finally walked in the room. Everyone turned their attention to her, and then her father asked. "What is it princess?" Raven braced herself then asked. "Daddy where do babies come from?" Everyone froze, her father thought for a moment. "Well um…" Why it was hard for her father to answer her question, Raven would never know. "Well, Raven honey you see babies come from… Midna help me out here." Her mother smiled and shook her head; Aunt Sophie even began to turn red. "Babies grow in mother's stomach." Reaver felt relief, hopefully Raven wouldn't interpret more. But of course being like her mother, she asked. "How does the baby get in there? Does the mommy eat them? If they do then where do they REALLY come from? And how do you know which one is the right parents? And how…" Midna placed her hand over Raven's mouth. "Raven, okay mommies don't eat the babies. They start as a little tiny thing in the mommy's tummy, and grow from both mommy and daddy DNA." She could tell Raven had more question, but this one left the women laughing and the men, out cold. "Okay but can men have babies?" Aunt Sophie started to laugh loudly then asked Reaver. "I don't can they Reaver?" Her mother also began to laugh and her father stood there. "Well, if men could have babies why the hell are they making us have them!?" Midna laughed that one, and Sophie and she had to sit down for a minute. Reaver got down on one knee, and looked Raven in the eye. "No Raven, men don't have babies' only women. Women carry the necessary part for reproduction, men don't need to." "Why not?" Raven asked. "Well remember how mommy said, that you get DNA from your daddy to. You see girls have more space, and then boys do." "Okay, but how do you get the DNA from your daddy?" "That I will explain when you older."
Reaver shook his head of the weird and strange event that took place. He put things away, and then walked over to his most beautiful mistress. She stood up and stretched her arms, then let them fall around Reaver's neck. Eluding him in a passionate kiss, and then grabbing her by her waist and swinging her. Leaning her towards the ground. Reaver felt content with Midna, she was the most beautiful women. That would ever please him, and since Raven was born his sex patterns hadn't really changed that much. Right before their lips meet again, Raven stood in front of the doorway and shouted. "Dad! Get off of mom! That's disgusting!" They looked at her shook their heads and continued. He could hear Raven sigh and about to walk out the door. Midna pulled back, and said. "Better go help Raven saddle Scales." "Alright." He swung her back up then heard the impatient child say. "Come on dad, are you flying me or am I going by myself?" He walked out, following Raven opening the door. The cold snowy breeze hit Reaver's face, he looked up. He was the only one Scales could really hear, he put his fingers to his lips and wistled. Very loudly, then from above which use to frighten people. But who were now, just a normal part of everyone's day. A loud dragon roar signaling Scales' landing, coming from the clouds a now full grown dragon. His yellow ore eyes stared deeply into Raven's eyes, Scales, scales glistened with beauty. Now mature enough to not have to sleep in the manor anymore or relied on Raven for food.
Scales had recently sharpened his talons on a nearby tree in Silverpine. Giving them a grossly, and soft touch, two small horns reached out of the top of Scales' head. While his bat like wings were twice the length of Scales' body. Folded them to his body and readied to be saddled; he lowered his head to his little mistress. She hugged his head lightly, and then she spoke to Scales softly. "Were going to Hyrule Castle Scales, to spend with Lily, Uncle Link and Aunt Zelda." She whispered softly to him, he understood. Reaver came out with a light saddle built for Scales, Scales always saw Midna as his mother.
But this weird creature smelled like a dog sometimes, to what he's changed to from before. Scales had the impression of Dragon Master, ever since Scales could remember. Dragon Master was master of even his mistress.
Reaver tightened the straps on Scales, lifting up Raven on Scales. Raven tightened her bag on the back of saddle. And braced herself for a new journey, she normally few with her mother flying right beside her. This was the first time she was going to fly on her own. She took a deep breath, and then her father stepped back and said. "Remember when, you get to the mirror speak the ancient password to open it. But remember to close the mirror too, and then ride straight to Hyrule Castle okay. Fly high so that flying monsters can't see you and if they indeed do find you remember…" Her father and Raven spoke that same verse. "One shot in the head their dead." Her and her father giggled, and then she asked. "But how father, I don't have anything to fight with? Shall I just let Scales take care of it?" Her father shook his head and smiled. Then walked back to the porch then watched as Scales stretched out his wings and lunged for the sky. He watched his baby girl fly in the sky, on her own.
Raven looked down, seeing the small figure of her father walk back inside. Raven felt free, laying her head down on Scales' neck as he flew through the night sky. Over the trees and over the moon, and threw the snow Raven flew. She was also excited because on Christmas Morning her mother said. She was going to be awarded for completing her first year of magic training. Raven started to learn when she was seven, the lucky number of the Hylians. Raven dozed off, she trusted Scales to bring them to the mirror. Feeling Scales every move, Raven pulled her rider's blanket over herself. For winter times when it was cold, her face though was warm. Scales being a fire dragon with always warm, Raven wondered who Scales' parents were sometimes. Scales still being use to his new vocal box, only spoke yes and no.
Last mouth Aunt Zelda was teaching the young dragon, how to speak. Dragons could speak it just take them in till their full grown, and their little speech box was activated by a magical force. Regular dragons being the masters of magic were able to awaken their offspring's box.
"Raven," Scales said, Raven sat up and looked down as Scales was about to land. Raven held on tight as his heavy body landed on the grassy field. Raven climbed off of Scales, there was the mirror. It was an oval shape; the wild must have taken a liking to it because. Vines and wild flowers grew on the rim of the mirror giving it a forestry frame. Raven, looked in the mirror with Scales head next to her. At first Raven saw only herself and Scales in the mirror. Then a glow of the royal family shined recognizing Raven and Scales' presents. Raven and Scales together spoke the ancient password, and then Raven placed her hand on the mirror and said. "Please take us in within Hyrule, resting place of the goddess. We mean no harm, I am nor royalty nor hylian. But with permission from Hyrule's leaders, take us to Hyrule." With that spoken, Raven's hand started to disappear. Taking Scales but a spike under his chin, the two disappeared in glowing orbs (or as Midna called them magical bubbles of light which Zelda has tried to correct her on).
Raven opened her eyes to a familiar scent, looking around the old ruins of the Scared Forest. Scales didn't like it not much of a platform to take off on. "Well here we are Scales, now daddy said to go directly to Hyrule Castle. Can you do that please?" She asked getting on Scales' back once more. He licked the side of Raven's face with a long pick tongue. She giggled and wiped her face, Scales began to walk around and look for a clearing. Not want to destroy the ruins, climbing over the stone wall into the forest. Scales landed in a beautiful landscape, Raven's pointed ears listen to the song of the forest play. When Raven was here often times she heard voices, some she could make out. A voice behind her said. "Welcome back." Raven around in the saddle to see no one there, it scared Raven sometimes. Raven began to here more voice from all around, most were. "Welcome back little one," or "Daughter of Realms" some things that made no sense to her.
Uncle Link had said a forest child from long ago could hear the spirits. They were the forest spirits that talked to Raven. Raven began to hear beautiful singing, coming from the branches of the trees. And a flute that played off in the distance, which Raven would often here. Raven remembered when she was little, when she, Lily, the boys and Star would come out into the woods. With their parents and dance to the music that it played. Aunt Sophie was the boy's Mother, the twins.
Aunt Sophie got married to a man named Greg from the Dweller Camp. He had blond hair and brown eyes, Greg and Aunt Sophie soon had two boys. Mike, who looked more like Greg. He had light blond hair and brown eyes. Locke, the second twin looked more like Aunt Sophie. He had dark hair and blue eyes.
Star, Raven loved Star like a sister. Sometimes on Mother's day, Star would come over and give a mother's day card to Raven's mom, Midna. But most importantly to Aunt Sophie. She was Logan's daughter; Uncle Logan had disappeared for awhile. When everyone finally came home, he went to Bloodstone. When he came back he had a three year old daughter. Raven's father recalled how they met; Reaver had taken Raven with him to the castle one day. Raven sat bored outside the throne room, when a little girl with brown eyes and hair came up to her and asked. "Do you want to play leap frog?" Raven agreed and they play wondering down the halls jumping over each other. After that they played a pretend game, which they still do now. It was about a unicorn and a pirate who tried to still the fare unicorn. But learned in the end it was not right to steal. Raven was the pirate, she liked that part. She like pretending to be the pirate king in her stories. Star was the unicorn; they never got to finish their game.
Uncle Logan picked up Star and Reaver picked up Raven. Raven and Star jumped from their father's arms and hugged each other on the ground. "Can I see you tomorrow?" Star asked and Raven replied. "Of course you will! We're friends now! You want to play with my friend Lily and me tomorrow? It will be really fun, there are evil wizards! Pirates! Anything you want!" Star shouted. "Yeah!" Raven broke the hug then looked up at her father. "Daddy? Can we come back tomorrow please?" Logan and Reaver looked down at them, then back at each. Logan hoped for Star to have friends, he didn't expect the first one she would make would be Raven, Reaver's daughter. "Alright we will, Lily is coming tomorrow anyway." The girls shouted and hugged each other once more.
Raven stuck in her day dreams remembering everything. She sat on now the flying Scales as he flew through the sky. She thought about happy moments in her life. Snowflakes flew on Raven's eyelashes and the winds blew on her soft skin. She always liked the times when her father would recite all of his adventures. Lily, the twins and Star would listen too; they all liked hearing his stories and adventures. They really liked the one on the Hero of Bowerstone, the three heroes. Sparrow, Hammer and Garth. He didn't know the fourth hero's name only that he was the King of Thieves.
Raven also remembered, every week when she was little. They would go to the scared forest with their parents. And dance all day and night to the strange music that played. Aunt Sophie, Aunt Zelda, and mother. Would sing tales on Albion, the Twilight Realm and Hyrule. And dance around the waterfalls, as the man played instruments to the songs they sang. Her father Reaver, would drink with the adults, and sometimes sang himself.
Raven above the clouds, looked and Hyrule Castle was there only a few miles away. Looking down at Hyrule's snow covered field, there just bellow horses ran free. And on Raven's left, she pulled the blanket father over herself. She saw the monsters on their giant boars, they scared her. But Scales was able to fight anything off, he was a dragon. Her mother had been teaching him skills for dragons to learn.
Raven looked down at the large and still growing city below. Coming into the landing stage, at the very top, where the throne room was. Scales flapped his wings sharply for a landing, as soon as he landed guards ran up along with a small girl. She wore a pink dress, and had blond hair and blue eyes. She looked more like her father, Raven jumped down and hugged her tight. Scales brought his head down, licking Lily on the side of the face."Oh hello Scales good to see you too!"
Zelda and Link walked up to them, Raven laughed as Uncle Link picked her up. And tickled her sides, he stopped and said. "Hello princess," He set her back down then Aunt Zelda kneed down to the tow of them in her beautiful silk dress and asked. "Okay who is ready to make cookies?" Lily and Raven both shouted. "Me!" Aunt Zelda laughed, then took both of their hands and started down to the kitchen.
