Anyway, my second entry for Heth's contest, this time the second category. Because a while back I was forced into it. Lolwut?

Markings/Scars: A celtic knot on his right arm. Simply a symbol his heritage; he got it when he was 16. A row of darkened spots down his spine; he passes it off as a genetic mutation, but it's really one of the physical difference of the elves.

Weaknesses:
-Gullible
-Self-blames
-Extremely self-dependent (Doesn't let people in easily)
-Misunderstood
-Quiet

Strengths:
-Intelligent
-Careful/Quick Thinker

Distinguishing Features: Curly-ish black hair, rather attractive eyes hidden behind narrow specs. He gets cold easily, so is usually wearing long sleeves/pants, scarves, etc. A celtic knot tattoo on his right arm. A perfect line of dark skin spots down his spine.
Nationality: Korean, Slovakian, Irish/Scottish

For the most part he grew up in Korea with his father. His mother was a changling of a Celtic elf and a Slovakian explorer. He's pretty much human, with absolutely no giveaways to being of any relation to myths unless he told you. The only side effect of his genetics is that he has a hard time coping with the cold. The reason he moved to Japan with his father was because he couldn't stand the harsh winters in Korea. His eye sight is deteriorating due to experiences with low temperatures for too long of time which is why he wears glasses. The hereditary weakness is what eliminates out-of-breed breeding, where it weakens the off spring so they can die off. Of course, humans are much smarter than that and usually can get away with being a "mixed breed". (Think about how mules are fertile because it prevents them from creating simply one massive group of equines.) The reason for the cold being his nemesis is because the weather in Ireland is usually cooler, so it would be nature's quick way of ridding of them.

Personality: Sang is the definition of mysterious. Most people don't want to approach him because of how quiet he is. It's hard for him to relate to people, so he's quiet at first. Once you get to know him he's rather talkative in a moderate sense. He's more of a puzzle to figure out than a book to read. Like any normal teenager, he enjoys a game of laser tag or spending a night staying up and playing video games with his friends. He needs someone a little more outgoing, he makes a good listener. He has few friends but the friends he has he chooses wisely and keeps them very close. He has such a passive nature that people tend to use him and walk all over him.
Job: He pretty much runs the bookstore next to bridal shop; he's in charge of keeping them all organized and helping costumers find what they need. Since it's a rather laid back position he's usually on his computer surfing the net at the counter considering an old bookstore doesn't get much in the way of business anymore. He likes to decorate with paintings from yard sales and flowers; and is usually redecorating often because he'll grow bored of the same thing all the time. When Eiou stops by after seeing him he begins to decorate the store pertaining to things she likes as a bit of a "hint" in her direction that he likes her. (Example, the kind of flowers she likes, etc.)
3/4 Human, 1/4 Elf: Sang is more human than anything else and for the most part doesn't even think about his relation to the fantasy world. But there are a few defining traits that give away his mixed background. He doesn't appear any different in how he looks, but his touch usually gives a soothing sensation that calms down anyone. Plants seem to grow really well around him and he sometimes will receive premonitions in his dreams. These things happen subtly and like everyone else around him, he is a typical teenager.

Parents:
Yung Sook Myeong (Father) - Deceased
Eilana Lapsanksy (Mother) - Whereabouts unknown - someday once he's saved up enough money he's hoping to travel to Ireland an attempt to find her. He believes with his mother being a changling might reside with his grandmother in the land of Celtic Elves. If she is not, he hopes perhaps he can learn something there that would help him find her.

Siblings:
None. He only wishes he had siblings.

Other Interesting Notes: -He likes to decorate, rofl. As if that wasn't obvious. If he had gone to college he would've majored in art.
-He eventually goes blind when he gets older (in his late 40s or so). He figures if that's all that happens to him he's pretty lucky, so it doesn't bother him in the end.
-His best friend is going to school to be a high school physics teacher.
-Can't stand the sounds of styrofoam and has to leave the room.
-The reason he doesn't like flamingos is because when he was younger he took a field trip to the zoo and one bit the tip of a girl's nose off in his class. Ever since then he was pretty much terrified.
-His favorite animals are red pandas.
